• Colouring Contest To be judged by Mayor Sam Slade. Artists featured are from Davis Elementary School. Entries will be displayed at the TC Square from March 03-13. Prizes will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place winners from Grade K - 5 at the Opening Ceremonies on March 03.

• Photo Contest:Deadline March 11th, 2011 - 12:00pm
  Get those cameras clicking and send us your best winter photo taken during 2011. There are 3 categories: Best Winter Scenery, Best Winter Pet Photo and Best Family Fun Photo. Pictures can be dropped off at the Town Council Office or emailed to special.events@carbonear.ca. Winning Photos will be posted on the Town’s website. Office or emailed to special.events@carbonear.ca

• Art Contest: Deadline March 11th, 2011.

  TThere will be 2 divisions, Junior (Grades 6-9 St. Francis) and Senior (Grades 10-12 Carbonear Collegiate) with prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each division, Judging to take place at the appropriate schools by local Artists. Winning entries will be on display for 2 weeks at the Civic Center and may be used for promotional material for next years Winter Carnival or other events.
  

• Snow Sculpture: Deadline March 11th, 2011

Let’s get creative in the snow. Let those imaginations run wild and start building. Upon completion of your work of art, snap a quick picture and send it along to the Council Office or email to emailed to special.events@carbonear.ca with your name and address. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd best sculpture.
