Word of "the World Cup of Tiddly" is spreading!
A little girl from Nova Scoita was fascinated when her Nova Scotian Grandparents told her about a game called Tiddly. Searching on the Internet, the only information she could find was about the World Cup fo Tiddly in Carbonear. Her mother emailed Judy Cameron, of the Special Events Committee, asking her questions, so that her daughter could complete on school project on Tiddly. Below are photos of the girl with her presentation. The mother wrote:
I saw your email address at the bottom of the 2009 registration form, and so I thought I'd go out on a limb and write to you and ask if you, or anyone you happen to be in contact with, has a photo of some people playing Tiddly (or a picture of their sticks) that you would considering emailing to me so that we can print the photo and put it on Shani's display board! I know this is probably a very unusual ask, and if you aren't able to help that's completely fine -- you just have no idea the number of people here (in Nova Scotia) that are telling me Tiddly is actually just another name for Tiddlywinks and my parents had their information mixed up!!
Here are the photos.
