The Town of Carbonear, the “Hub of the Bay”, is a business service center for Trinity Bay South and Conception Bay North and is one of the oldest settlements in Newfoundland’s history. Carbonear is a growing community with many things to offer including a health care system, some of the best recreational facilities in the province, educational system including post-secondary opportunity, a regional community center hosting the council chambers, a public library and a 380 seat theater and much more.
On behalf of myself and council I extend a warm welcome and invite you to come and explore our rich history
I hold weekly Wednesday Meetings. Members of the public that may have items for discussion are welcome, on a walk in basis, between 2:00pm and 4:00pm. Members of the public who wish to meet with me outside these hours are advised to contact the Council Office to arrange an appointment for a meeting.
