The Carbonear Swimming Pool is now offering a land based aerobics program for a duration of 4 weeks.

Tighten & Tone - Mon/Wed/Fri Starting @9:30am in the Multi-purpose room - Cost $50.00

Boot Camp - Mon/Wed/Fri Starting @6:15pm in the Multi-purpose room - Cost $50.00.

One on One Personal Training - Please call for details.

These classes are being lead by a certified personal trainor.

WALKING PROGRAM

The walking program takes place on Monday and Wednesday at 11.30am to 12.30 pm Cost of the walking program is $2.00 drop in fee .

The Carbonear Recreation Complex consists of 4 Tennis Courts, 2 Softball Fields, Basketball Court, Soccer Field, Athletics Amenities, and a Playground. Also, there are 6 playgrounds, 2 basketball courts, parks and a boardwalk strategically placed throughout the community.

 

Sport Leagues

There are several sporting organizations in our Community offering people of all ages the opportunity to GET FIT, HAVE FUN & PLAY HARD. Currently in Carbonear there is a Senior Slo-Pitch Softball League, a Junior Fast-Pitch Softball Team competing with teams on the Avalon, a Minor Baseball Association (North West Avalon B.A.), and a C.B.N. Minor Soccer League.

Awards Program

Annually the Town of Carbonear recognizes the efforts of their athletes, past and present, and its volunteers. Awards are given to Junior & Senior Female Athlete of the Year, Junior & Senior Male Athlete of the Year, Team of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Hall of Fame Inductions. A reception is held at the Carbonear Swimming Pool for volunteers and nominated athletes.
