Mayor's Messge
On behalf of the Town of Carbonear and my colleagues on Council I extend greetings to all citizens and visitors that partake in Carbonear Days activities. The Carbonear Special Events Committee has delivered a fun-filled, action packed weekend with events for people of all ages. I encourage everyone to get out, have fun and take advantage of all that is offered. A special thank you is extended to the Special Events Committee for their endless hours of hard work and dedication in planning and delivering such events. Due to their tireless efforts, Carbonear Days is made possible. Again, let’s show our wonderful community spirit and make this weekend an amazing festival.

7 pm Carbonear Historic Walking Tours – Moxley’s Cemetary Walk – Tickets available at the Railway Museum or the Town Office. Starting at the Railway Museum. Bbeginning 8:15p.m. - 9:15p.m. following the Tour, there will be light refreshments and the Trinity Conception Fiddlers and Friends will be playing Traditional Music
10 pm Entertainment with DJ Dar. Single White Russians for $2.75. Westside Charlies
10 pm Karaoke. Hosted by Jake. Meet former Miss Carbonear

8 - 11am Breakfast – $6 Carbonear Lions Club
10 - 5 pm Harbour Boat Ride – Adult $3, Children 5 and under - $2 Public Wharf
11 - 12 noon Sculpin Contest. Prizes to be awarded. Public Wharf
All Day Specials on Molson & Iceberg products McNally’s Billiards
1 - 5 pm Texas Hold’em Tournament – $30 Royal Canadian Legion, Carbonerar
2 - 4 pm Fibre Arts Exhibit – Display & Demonstration of Quilts, Rugs and Swedish Weaving. Refreshments served. Free Admission. Bethany United Church
2 pm - 2 am Carbonear Kitchen Party – Local Artists. $5 for an All Day Pass, Children 5 and under are free. Traditional Newfoundland food. Beer Garden until 2 am. Paddy’s Garden
10 pm Live Entertainment. Dave and Greg Fitzpatrick. West Side Charlies

11:00 am Fit Kid Competition – Swim/Bike/Run. Ages 5-16, Registration: 9am, $3. There will be a reception and prizes for all participants following the race. Carbonear Pool

music, face painting, fish pond, bouncy castle, cupcake decorating,
horse and cart rides, cartoon characters, Earle’s Riding Hhorses, food and drinks. No charge – Free!
